Our Employee Benefits Department has a great opportunity for someone looking to start their insurance carrier. As an Account Coordinator, you will learn the basics of all employee benefits and assist in sales and service while supporting the day-to-day needs of Account Managers and Account Executives.

Responsible for providing daily customer service to internal customers and employer solutions clients, responding to inquiries promptly and professionally
Foster positive professional relationships with assigned clients; maintain professional relationships with vendors
May assist in resolution of health care issues by fielding calls and conducting the appropriate research and interpretation of benefits.
Assist in preparing for employer renewal meetings and employee benefit meetings, which may include Excel, PowerPoint, gathering & copying materials, stuffing packets, etc. Direction for these communications will be provided by the department AEs/AMs
Enter and update group client coverage information into the computer. Maintain status of work in databases for Account Executive and Employee Benefits Manager awareness
Able to prepare monthly reports, this process may include gathering and inputting data, preparing a mail-merge, proof-reading output, printing and preparing output for delivery
Assist Account Management team with special projects, such as Total Compensation Statements, Dependent Eligibility Audits, and more.
Maintain an awareness of the Employee Benefits Clients’ programs and stays informed about changes in the insurance marketplace (reviewing, analyzing, and reporting new products to the Department Manager)
Perform other specific duties as assigned
High School Education or two year accounting degree preferred
One year of employee benefits experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to accomplish the described duties through the use of appropriate computer functions, like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Exhibit excellent team building skills, cooperation and collaboration
